How I see It

i USED to

I used to infuse you into my fantasy,

         A PHENOMENAL future.large
One where we’d FLAUNT and FLOAT, on clouds of FINESSE,
Our heads held HIGH in six-inch HEELS and HAUTE couture,
And CONFIDENCE to make {them} quiver.
I would be QUEEN and you would be QUEEN.
         Our REIGN would be indivisible,
and w
e would DOMINATE this world of money, men, and matters of the heart.

Key words; “used to, infuse you”.
The fantasy is the same, but void of you.

Survive

love.     family.       friends.      dreams.               truths.           lies.           chaos.          sadness.            anger.     hate.    frustration.          meditation.           clarity.         forgiveness.     happiness.        peace.                moments.          memories
LIFE.       SURVIVAL.

Diverse

Diverse: The perfect way to EMPHASIZE difference while seemingly being accepting of it.

Diverse like who?

Like black or white? Like brown or pale? Like light-skinned or charcoal dark? Like heavy-set or skinny-bod? Like tall or small? Like smart or dumb? Like rich or poor?

Diverse like how?

Like Muslim or Christian? Like believers or atheists? Like church or club? Like Gospel or secular? Like priest or pastor? Like sinner or saved?

Diverse like when?

Like communism or capitalism, like democrat or republican? Like Monarchy or Anarchy?

Truth: The safety of the familiar, the skepticism of the diverse.

Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time
When humanity knew harmony
When people smiled and said ‘good morning’
When looks held love

When husbands respected their wives
When wives revered their husbands
When children obeyed their parents

When learning was a passion
When knowledge was pride
When books were treasures

When music was therapy
When words were lyrical
When movies were messages

When men were gentle
When women were classy
When children were innocent

When the forests were greener
When the seas were cleaner
When the air was purer

Once upon a time
When Paradise was Earth.

I AM – Vol. 2.

I am not my fears.
I AM my Fierce.

I am not my weakness.
I AM my wonder.

I am not my past.
I AM my possibility.

I am not my regret.
I AM my reinvention

I am not my doubt.
I AM my doing.

I am not my low.
I AM my loudest.

I am not my never.
I AM my now.

Yesterday took with her, all that I am not.
Today comes bearing gifts of all that I AM, all that I CAN, all that I was destined to BE

I not Maybe,
I AM.
